Emma Tunn

Throughout my experience in legal and insurance industries, I have witnessed firsthand the day to day challenges faced by parties involved in personal injury claims from start to finish. Litigation can be an expensive and frustrating process. I am passionate about partnering with my clients to deliver cost-effective outcomes at the earliest opportunity, with minimal frustration.

To me, developing a rapport with my clients is essential. I like to take a collaborative approach to managing my matters, ensuring that my clients are not only kept well-informed about their progress but working with them to develop solutions. I enjoy learning about the unique nature of my clients’ businesses in order to provide them with detailed advice tailored to their individual business needs.

I have worked and practiced exclusively in personal injury litigation since 2013, primarily in workers’ compensation and motor vehicle accident claims, having worked for a national plaintiff law firm and more recently in in-house claims management for one of Australia’s largest general insurers. Drawing on my previous plaintiff and claims management experience, I have developed the ability to balance the competing needs of managing claims exposure and the commercial realities facing our employer clients, against the need to deliver a reasonable outcome for the injured claimant.

I have particular expertise in the management of North Queensland matters and have developed strong working relationships with a number of regional law firms. Working in Townsville has afforded me the opportunity to understand some of the unique challenges facing some of our regional clients.
