As a Principal at BTLawyers, I work with clients who are separating, divorced or experiencing domestic violence. This is always a really stressful time for people. They are often overwhelmed with everything they need to do regarding their finances, property and parenting matters, regardless of whether the split is amicable or not, and many simply don’t know what their rights are or even where to start.I am passionate about assisting parties to resolve matters without the need for court proceedings, and as such I have completed mediation training with Bond University, and am a Nationally Accredited Mediator.
I specifically work with people who:
- are thinking about separating, or have recently separated, and need advice on their rights, and assistance with parenting and property matters.
- need help with their divorce application.
- are in a LGBTI relationship and need advice on their legal rights.
- need legal advice on a domestic violence situation they are experiencing.
My approach to working with clients is to understand their unique circumstances and provide them with information, options and solutions to consider and assist in decision making. I try to ensure that the relationship between my client and I is one of trust and our team aims to be a supportive resource for client’s during what is a difficult time. I am resolution focused, and aim to work with my clients and all other parties involved in the matter to reach a suitable outcome so that you as a client, may move forward and commence building your “new normal”.
As with all the lawyers at BTLawyers, I work on a fixed fee basis, which provides peace of mind for my clients during an otherwise stressful and uncertain time.
