Philip Looney QC
Prior to coming to the Bar in 1996, Philip had a 14 year career as a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience both in Australia and overseas. He was appointed as Queen’s Counsel in 2012 and specialises in commercial, corporate, family, insolvency and tax litigation as a member of 19 Inns Chambers. His practice has also included alternative dispute resolution, particularly, mediations, and he is an accredited Family Law Arbitrator.
Anthony Bach has been working at the ATO for over 19 years and is currently an Acting Assistant Commissioner in the Tax Counsel Network. Prior to that, he worked in the Private Groups and High Wealth Individuals business line as a senior director in Risk & Strategy and as a senior technical adviser. He is a Chartered Tax Adviser with The Tax Institute and was named the “SME Tax Adviser of the Year” in 2018.
Adele is Partner with BDO in the Brisbane Tax team. She is a domestic and international taxation specialist who has extensive experience working with listed and large privately owned corporations across a variety of industries. Furthermore, she has worked across various specialisations including tax controversy, tax due diligence and family law negotiations. Before joining BDO, Adele was the Australian tax manager for the Boeing Corporation and a senior manager in the tax division of a top tier accounting firms.
