Our Quality Policy

The Bruce Thomas Lawyers Management Team ensures that the quality policy is appropriate to the purpose of the organisation, includes a commitment to comply with requirements and continually improve, the effectiveness of the quality management system, provides a framework for establishing and reviewing quality objectives, is communicated and understood within the organisation, and is reviewed for continuing suitability.

The Bruce Thomas Lawyers stated quality policy is as follows:

Continual improvement is not simply a “buzz word” – it is a mindset that ensures that every day we do things better, improving the quality of our service, our interactions with our colleagues and clients and the quality of our life.  A philosophy of continual improvement encourages growth and development both professionally and personally.  It encourages us to seek out challenge and obtain satisfaction and reward that comes from bettering our selves. 

We continually improve by having an inquiring mind.  Whenever we do anything at work or in our personal lives we should ask ourselves “how can we do this better” or “is there a better alternative”.  We observe how our clients, our colleagues and competitors and friends and family do things and we learn from them.  Sometimes we identify their mistakes which we can then prevent in ourselves.  Sometimes we find things they do that we do not which we can adopt and improve our processes.

Continual improvement applies to the big thing and to the small things.  We do not need to reinvent the wheel every day to continually improve.  Very small improvements can provide an enormous long term benefit for us and our clients.  What is important is to always be growing, and not stagnate or decay.

Continual improvement also should not be a chore.  It should be a challenge that stimulates us and encourages us to make ourselves better and find more reward in what we do.  Continual improvement also does not mean working harder – it means working smarter to create more time and energy for more productive activity, both at work and at home.
